NDIS Occupational Therapy

Guide Healthcare’s NDIS Occupational Therapy services aim to help people complete the activities they need and want to do each day. Occupational therapy (OT) treatments focus on assisting people to be as independent as possible in all aspects of their lives. By improving independence and working towards meaningful goals, we can help people achieve a better quality of life. Our clinicians work with people with a physical, sensory, psychosocial or cognitive disability.

How does it work?

Occupational Therapy services are covered by the NDIS. Occupational Therapy can exist in various sections of your NDIS plan, as core support, capital support or capacity-building support. Our Occupational Therapists can also assist in prescribing appropriate capital supports.

Core Supports

Core supports are supports that enable NDIS participants to complete activities of daily living and enable participants to work towards their goals and meet their objectives. Transport and assistance with household tasks are examples of core supports.

Capital Supports

Capital supports are supports that form an investment. Assistive technologies, such as equipment and home modifications, are types of capital supports.

Capacity Building Supports

Capacity building supports are supports that enable NDIS participants to build their independence and skills. Workplace assistance and community participation activities are examples of capacity building supports.

Our mobile Occupational Therapists have all of the equipment they need to carry out in-home treatments and assessments of any type.

Whatever you need, our Occupational Therapists will complete an assessment and provide personalised and effective services to help you do the things you want and need to do.
