In-Home Podiatry Packages

Podiatry can be accessed with funds from a home care package. We partner with approved home care providers to assist in the delivery of podiatry services to their clients. We work with providers to ensure that all services are delivered within the constraints of their homecare budget. All aspects of the podiatry home visit, including the purchasing of orthotics and other braces and supports, can be funded through home care packages, meaning no out of pocket expenses to the consumer. All of our clinicians ensure a person-centred approach, implementing strategies to enable effective communication between all key stakeholders.

Older adults may also be eligible to access podiatry services through the Chronic Disease Management Program (CDM).

A Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM), formerly known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC), is a Medicare Government initiative that provides funding towards up to 5 allied health sessions, including podiatry per year. To access this service, you must have a referral from your General Practitioner (GP). Guide Healthcare’s homecare podiatrists can also provide treatments to Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) gold card holders with costs associated with podiatry care covered by DVA.
